About Huntech Bivvys
The tunnel tent's wind cheating stability, standing properties and effectiveness are the basis of the unique Huntech bivvys. Designed around an Easton 7075 E9 aluminium alloy pole the bivvy has steep sides and one end closed off, to stop the rain blowing in.
The sprung pole makes the bivvy largely free standing with only the open end needing tying off. The sloping end is designed to be pitched into any wind giving the fly good wind shedding properties. There are also additional tie down points, on the hoop and the centre of the sloped end, for use in storm conditions. And lastly it is quick and simple to erect requiring only five pegs.

Huntech Bivvy & Fly Materials
The bivvy and tent fly are made from totally waterproof rip stop nylon. This high quality, high count 70 denier fabric, has a waterproof polyurethane coating, tested to a minimum of 2 metres of hydrostatic head.
Seams are feldlapped and then seam sealed waterproof using a combination of hot air and pressure and a high quality tape.The bivvys have a hollow EASTON E9 7075 alloy pole which breaks down to a length of less than 400 mm and is shock corded together for ease of pitching. High tensile alloy pegs are supplied with the bivvy. |
HUNTECH Rectangular Fly
A traditional fly 3 x 4 metres. The fly has been designed with additional tie off points and ridge loops so it pitches more efficiently. It is made of the same fabric as the bivvys and is also seam sealed therefore is totally waterproof. The main tie off points are reinforced and nylon cord is supplied. HUNTECH Bivvy Floor

Our bivvy bags are made from our SHELTER-XP waterproof breathable fabric with all seams tape sealed, to stop water penetrating from the outside.
The bivvy bag has a 700mm side zip for easy entry, and a large flap to pull over your head to keep the dew off and a boxed foot for extra comfort. A unique insect panel can be pulled over your head or zipped away when not needed.
Note; In some conditions condensation may form on the inside of all bivvy bags, particularly in the foot area. It is important to air your sleeping bag regularly when using a bivvy bag, so the down doesn't become damp. |
