Eberlestock J51 Warhammer Pack - We first built the J51 Warhammer around the ALICE frame, a tried and true pack frame. Using the frame as a core structure, we developed an entirely new style of pack that has amazing utility and versatility. It takes advantage of the ALICE's compact size, and incorporates features and qualities that have made Eberlestock packs famous. Now, after proving the concept, we've replaced the ALICE frame with Eberlestock's innovative Intex-II frame, and have thereby gained the benefits of better body contour fitting ergonomics, closer-to-body load carriage, a bottom cargo shelf, and a whopping 1.3 lbs of weight removed from the pack. The latter stems from the fact that the ALICE was a frame for a more primitive design, and had far more metal that the Warhammer's internal-frame style requires; the Intex II provides just as much stability and load bearing strength, in a much more intelligently designed package. Because the frame is fully wrapped in the structure of the pack, more along the lines of an internal frame than an external frame, we've eliminated frame noise, and built an exceptionally comfortable and well ventilated pack. The Warhammer is an off-shoot of our popular J79 Skycrane II, but has more generous side/main butterfly compartments, so in effect the Warhammer has more stand-alone capacity. However, the products are very similar in function, and use many of the same components. The Skycrane II system includes the G1 and LP1 packs, which can be purchased separately when building a J51-based pack. Large padded hip belt, as made for our V69 and V90 packs. The pads on this belt are a little wider and thicker than on our standard belts, and feature a generous 3 x 6 Padlock webbing matrix. The benefit to using this belt for heavier load bearing is that you get a little more structure and a little more surface area to distribute the load onto your hips. This comes at the cost of a little more bulk. So, although we feel our regular belts are well matched to the packs that we have them on, we offer these replacement belts with larger pads for those whose wish is for maximum comfort and support. Auxiliary anchor straps can be routed through webbing on the pack to increase the stability of the bottom of the pack, or removed if you prefer our classic free-hip-movement belt installation. If you're looking for a shorter alternative to the standard hipbelt sold with our packs, the HBSS is about 2" shorter. The padded portion of the HBSS is 28" long, but the webbing straps extend to 60", so it will work for a variety of body sizes.

The Thick Pad harness can be used to replace the standard harness on most Eberlestock packs. Choose it if you prefer a little bit more plush padding vs. the more minimalist padding in our standard "Shooters Harness." Works on all packs with removable harness except those with mid-back kidney pads attached to the harness (i.e, its not recommended for J117, J79, V69/90, etc.).

The harness can be mounted two ways, 180-degrees apart, so that you can carry the bag with your rifle barrel up, or in a lower-profile barrel-down mode. Super-strong drag loops are fitted to either end. The interior features MOLLE/PALS-type webbing and two large plastic-mesh zippered pockets (shielded from your rifle by the middle leaf), secure and adjustable weapon tie-downs, and a fold-in rifle crown protector. The bag also features an internal pocket for securing the stock of a shorter rifle. This provides a second securing place for a shorter rifle inside of the E57B (please note: there is no pocket for holstering a rifle longer than 53", rifles over this length are supported by the keeper straps) There is a full MOLLE/PALS array covering the front panel beneath the detachable bags.
